Mariah Carey celebrates Monroe and Moroccan’s 12th birthday
Monroe and Moroccan Cannon are almost teenagers! On April 30, Mariah Carey shared a sweet post on Instagram to celebrate the twins’ 12th birthday. Their father, Nick Cannon, also celebrated the children’s special day with posts on Instagram showing a takeover of Six Flags.
Carey shared a carousel of photos of the twins, starting with a picture of her, Monroe and Moroccan hanging in the back seat of a car. The next photo shows the trio filming a video in the “Always Be My Baby” singer’s closet. In keeping with the Queen of Christmas, she rounded out her collection of throwback snaps with a holiday photo.
“Happy Birthday to my favorite people on the planet!!!” Carey captioned her post. “I thank God for you every day! ‘Our love is supernatural!!!’ Ooh lovelies because you will ALWAYS be my babies!!!”
Meanwhile, Cannon released a video chronicling Moroccan and Monroe’s (or Roc and Roe, as the father of 12 calls his eldest children) day at Six Flags Magic Mountain. In the video, the twins and all their friends arrive in a limousine wearing matching Roc and Roe sweatshirts. The ‘Wild ‘n Out’ host continues to prove he’s up for anything from playing games to riding even the most daring rides with his kids. “Happy 12th Birthday to my first born Roc & Roe! 🎉❤️ Daddy loves you all forever!” he captioned his post.
Earlier this month, on an episode of the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, Cannon opened up about what it’s like for him to be a parent of a tween couple. “It’s the first time I’ve had 12-year-olds and I’ve had a bunch of them! And we’re having real conversations,” he said. “Because, you know, her life is anything but normal. Her mother is one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived and her father is me. They are so intelligent, they are so in tune with their own values.”
