Awards season is in full swing, and tonight we’re excited to get into some serious red carpet style. Music’s biggest night begins with the Grammy Awards airing tonight. Unlike the buttoned-up formality that accompanies style at the Golden Globes and Oscars, the Grammy Awards give our favorite music stars a chance to break the rules, put on a pair of sunglasses and have fun with fashion. Take Shania Twain’s fashion-forward Harris Reed polka dot over-the-top suit, for example, complete with a towering hat (and permanently on-trend pink hair).

Whether you want to see if Beyoncé snags enough awards to become the most successful Grammy winner of all time, you want to see Harry Styles on stage, or you’re hoping to add some Grammy Power style to your own wardrobe, we do have color comments on some of the night’s top ensembles — and easy ways to steal the looks for yourself.

Seen on Lizzo: opera gloves, a twist on the classic
It’s no secret that elbow-length (and even taller) gloves have been on the rise for the past few seasons, but we weren’t ready for the glamorous gloved looks the stars served up on the Grammys red carpet. From Lizzo’s custom orange Dolce & Gabbana gloves to Doja Cat’s patent-leather Versace number (even Jack Harlow made it into the action), full-length gloves are an easy way to add a touch of class—and something—to any special occasion serious camp – to see lend.
To recreate the look yourself, opt for gloves that play with texture and transparency to add visual interest to your look. The High Heel Jungle Secret Garden Tulle Gloves are delicate, see-through gloves embroidered with sweet sequin flowers. For something a little more classic, consider Norma Kamali’s Long Gloves, which come in a tasteful celadon green in a slightly sheer nylon-spandex blend. Want a complete look? Opt for the UO Lana Velvet Mini Dress & Glove Set, which consists of a purple mini dress and matching, elbow-length velvet gloves.
Take it from Kacey Musgraves: Barbiecore endures in glamorous fashion
In case you missed it, pink is the color of the day, and Barbiecore was still in full swing on the Grammys red carpet. Stars like Bebe Rexha nailed the trend with a stunning pink number, while Kacey Musgraves jazzed up the fashion with feathers.
To add some Barbie-approved pink to your wardrobe, recreate Brandi Carlile’s performance look with By Anthropologie’s Shine Shirt. Pair this statement shirt with black skinny jeans and low heels for a look that’s equal parts glamorous and fun. For a sweeter take on the everyday wear trend, opt for Anthropologie’s faux leather shirt dress.
Color inspiration from Cardi B: Make a splash with jewel tones
From Lizzo’s orange cape to Taylor Swift’s midnight blue crop and skirt, Cardi B’s royal blue sculptural gown by Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta and Kelsea Ballerini’s shockingly yellow Prabal Gurung masterpiece, color should be your moda operandi this season.
Heading to your own red carpet? Try the Mac Duggal Strapless Satin Sweetheart Dress for a classic design in a vibrant marigold yellow. For a more everyday approach to the jewel toned trend, opt for the Rosalie Jumpsuit from Fame and Partners. Loose and airy, this satin jumpsuit is ready for vibrant statement accessories.
Shine like Harry Styles: Shine with all-over sparkle
Not for the faint of heart, one of the trends dominating the red carpet this year was glittery, all-sequined garments. Harry Styles wore a glittery jumpsuit by Egonlab, while Mary J. Blige’s glittery cutout dress was designed by The Blonde’s to turn heads. We’ve come to expect shiny looks throughout awards season, and these fun shots inspired us to add some sparkle to our own closets.
Whether you’re going to Harry’s House or just your best friends, opt for the Collective the Label Metallic Color Block Wide Leg Jumpsuit, which uses a highly reflective metallic textile in a pink and red color block. If a dress is more your pace, reach for the Glamorous Iridescent Sequin Long Sleeve Mini Dress from Urban Outfitters for a dress that’s sure to shine on the dance floor. Finally, for a more luxe take on the trend, try Le Superbe’s Studio 54 Kate Sequin Dress when you’re ready to make a splash. This form-fitting style clings in all the right places and lets the light reflect off its thousands of sequins
