Hollywood sweetheart Paul Rudd is everything: actor, comedian, husband and father of two. The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ actor has been married to his wife Julie Yaeger since 2003 and they share a daughter and a son. If you’re assuming that Paul is one of those dads who loves to have fun with his kids, is very devoted to his family, and is a big fan of dad jokes, you’d be absolutely right. The former Sexiest Man Alive is a true sweetheart!
Paul brings his family to red carpets and events from time to time to show them off — as many proud dads would — and has opened up about parenting in interviews over the years. In a recent interview with People, Rudd revealed that both Jack and Darby Rudd aren’t exactly impressed with his movie star status. “I think I’m more of a dad than Ant-Man or in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Yes. They don’t care, and neither should they,” he told the outlet.

Jack Sullivan Rudd

Jack Sullivan Rudd was born in 2006. He is Paul’s eldest son with his wife Julie. Paul and Jack are big football fans and Jack is known for accompanying his famous father to NFL games. When Paul’s favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, he and Jack both donned their Chiefs jerseys to watch the game. Jack has also appeared on the red carpet with his dad over the years, showing off their sweet bond.
However, Jack quickly gives his father hell, which Paul takes lightly. When Paul told Jack in 2015 he was going to be in a superhero movie, Jack was mildly intrigued – until he found out which one. “When I told my son I was going to be in a superhero movie, he asked what it was,” Paul told Entertainment Tonight. “I said, ‘We’re going to play Ant-Man.’ He said: ‘What?’ He wasn’t that impressed… What he actually said was, ‘Wow, I can’t wait to see how silly this is going to be.'” So Jack clearly has his father’s keen sense of humor! He seemed skeptical about it, though to have overcome film when he joined his father at the premiere.
Darby Rudd

Darby Rudd was born in 2010. She is Paul’s youngest child with his wife Julie. Like Jack, Darby has accompanied her famous father to events such as receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Becoming a father to girls changed Paul’s life and even impacted his work. He noted in 2018 that the role of Ant-Man, who has a daughter named Cassie, felt accessible to him because he’d lived that life. “It’s one of my favorite things because I share that with my own daughter,” he said, according to JaMonkey. “And she loves it. At first, when she was very young, I always thought it was going to be weird. When my daughter is old enough and she sees this movie, she will see me playing dad to a little girl. And instead it’s the opposite. I think she really loves it because I tell her, you know, you’re the real Cassie… I do little things in the film that are little things to her.
And she seemed to love her dad as Ant Man — according to iHeart, she even drew pictures from “Ant-Man and the Wasp” for Paul to keep. What a supportive daughter!
