Chrishell Stause allegedly posts DMs from Nicole Young

Chrishell Stause is reviewing the facts of the drama between her and Nicole Young, cast member of “Selling Sunset” season 6. On May 20, the 41-year-old Instagrammer posted a candid photo of herself along with screenshots of messages she and Young allegedly exchanged ahead of filming the latest season of the Netflix reality series. The DMs appear to show Young asking Stause for advice after she was asked to join the show. (Fafaq reached out to Young’s rep for comment on the news, but received no immediate response.)

Stause’s screenshots appear to show Young approaching her shortly after she was asked to sign a two-season deal on Selling Sunset. “Hey lady! So…Adam and Skylar happened to call me on Friday to say I’ve been signed on to be a full-time cast member for the next two seasons,” the June 21 message read. “To say I’m shocked is the understatement of the year! Especially because this news came out of the blue.”

The DM continues, “I definitely wanted to see if I could invite you over to lunch or happy hour sometime this week so I could check out the myriad of questions I have about the logistics of the show and just yours as well.” get advice on a lot of things about the show.” /Production related? You’re obviously a pro and figured out everything related to the show so I’d definitely like to hear some of your wisdom before I jump in because I’m not going to lie, I’m f*f*** scared!”

For her part, Stause seems eager to help Young direct the filming process. She replies, “Of course,” and then invites Young over to lunch with the other women on the show. The Dancing With the Stars alum captioned her post, “This post is for those who love facts.” Her co-star and friend Emma Hernan commented, “WE HAVE THE FACT CHECKER IN THIS B*TCH RECEIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻”

Stause and Young clash early on in the new season over Young’s allegations that her colleague received credit for real estate sales she made years before she joined the show. She also claims that Oppenheim Group boss Jason Oppenheim gave Stause the credit because he had a crush on her at the time (Oppenheim had dated both women). Stause alluded to the conflict on her Instagram Stories back in September 2022, well before the season was canceled on Netflix.

“The urge for camera time in season six is REAL,” she wrote at the time. “Wow. That was madness. But also SO transparent. Get your 15 minutes, girl, but leave my business out of it.”

In a second story, she added: “Screenshots have been archived for this moment. Of course now – not before – you have a big problem with me when you have a camera crew around you. I hate fakes 💩. . .If you want camera time – JUST SAY THAT. I would have helped you find the right angle. But don’t try to come for people I love or for my company when you were added and I was there to get you excited and get excited about you.”

For her part, Young addressed her struggles with Stause on camera. “You don’t appreciate the work of others. And yes, that really pissed me off,” she said in season six. “She didn’t do any open houses. I did everything I worked with a buyers agent and I’m the one who sold it. Jason and I got into a very heated debate about this. She has offers in the Valley based on my completed sales and work.”

Stause denied Young’s claims in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “A big part of my frustration is that when you’ve been cast on the show and you come to me for advice and I’m like, ‘I’m so happy for you…’ you know, all those things and then all of a sudden you’re bringing out something three years ago to speak? It’s extremely frustrating for me,” she said. “Leave my business out of there. You know, calling me a fake agent, trying to tear down my business, things I’ve worked really hard for? I’m the only girl in the office who has gone out of business, and she did, given her recommendations. And so it really felt like a betrayal and a clown emoji.”
