Iranian Foreign Minister: “I see the possibility of negotiations with the USA”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed optimism about possible negotiations with the USA.

“I’m not worried about the war, I’m worried about misjudgments, and I think President Trump is smart enough to make the right decision,” Araghchi said.

Asked how a negotiation process could be initiated, he said that the regime had lost trust in the Americans, but “there are now some mediators, friendly countries, that are trying to build that trust. So I see the possibility of another conversation if the US negotiating team follows what President Trump has said: a fair and just agreement to ensure that there are no nuclear weapons.”
