FDA approves new Covid vaccines with limits under RFK Jr.

The Food and Drug Administration approved the recent round of Covid vaccines in the United States on Wednesday, but set new limits for who can get it.
The agency ended the wider approval of the shots and only solved it for people with a higher risk of serious diseases. This includes these 65 and younger adults with at least one underlying disease that represents them a higher risk.
The move could make access to the shots more difficult for millions of Americans and raise questions about covering insurance plans for healthy adults.
“The necessary permits for covid vaccines that were once used to justify the wide mandate of the public during the bidges administration are now canceled,” said Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“The American people demanded science, security and common sense,” he said. “This frame provides all three.”

Kennedy, a prominent vaccine skeptic, follows several efforts to change immunizations in the United States.
A key committee of vaccine advisors at the centers for the control and prevention of diseases must be right to recommend the covid recordings. But Kennedy gave this panel at the beginning of this year and called new members, some of whom are well -known vaccine critics.
In the post office, Kennedy said that the recordings were available for all patients who choose after consulting their doctors. However, it is unclear how easily patients without risk factors are able to get a covid vaccine.

The end of the so -called emergency authorizations means that Pfizer’s shot for children between the ages of 6 months and 4 is no longer deleted. It comes to Pfizer in August that the FDA maintains this authorization for the coming autumn and winter season.
In a publication, Pfizer confirmed that the FDA had released its updated covid shot for use in adults aged 65 and over and over five to 64 at the age of at least one underlying disease that has a high risk of serious illnesses. The company will start sending the shot immediately and will be available “in the coming days” in pharmacies, hospitals and clinics.
In a separate publication, Moderna also confirmed that the updated Covid shot is approved for those aged 65 and over and the people from 6 months to 64 years, which are at higher risk of serious illnesses. The company added that the next generation of the next generation of the next generation for older adults and patients with high risk is approved between the ages of 12 and 64. Moderna expects the shots to be available in the coming days.
The shares of Pfizer and Moderna acted a little higher on Wednesday afternoon, while the Novavax shares dived.
In May, the CDC dropped the recommendation that pregnant women and healthy children receive covid recordings. However, the American Academy of Pediatrics left the agency at the beginning of this month and recommended Covid recordings for children between 6 months and 2 years.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dr. Susan Kressly, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the more limited approval of the FDA as “deeply worrying”. She said that respiratory diseases such as Covid can “be particularly risky for infants and toddlers whose airways and lungs are small and still develop”.
“Every parent who wants to vaccinate his child should have access to this vaccine,” she said. “Today’s unprecedented action by HHS not only prevents this option for many families, but also adds further confusion and stress for parents who try to make the best decisions for their children.”
She said the AAP asks the administration to “remain these decisions with medical experts and families”.
The American College of Obstricians and gynecologists also advised pregnant women to maintain the Covid vaccine in order to protect themselves and their infants who are only 6 months old.
