An Israeli strike in Gaza has killed a terrorist who took part in October 7, 2023, said the military on Monday and has announced hundreds of strikes in the Palestinian enclave in the last three days.
The Israeli defense forces did not detail when or where the strike that had killed Ahmad Mansour, and announced the killing after Gazan said that 43 people were killed in attacks on Friday.
According to the IDF, Mansour was a member of the rocket unit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group. The army said he was among the thousands of terrorists who infiltrated the southern Israel on October 7 from Gaza.
During the attack led by Hamas, to which members of other terrorist groups belonged, 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage, 59 of which remain in captivity. It is believed that twenty -fours are alive.
There was no immediate confirmation from PIJ, which fired a number of rockets in Israel in the course of the war, although the group supported by Iran had a smaller arsenal than the Hamas.

In March, PIJ took responsibility for two rockets that were launched in the city of Sderot in southern Israel.

The IDF also explained on Monday morning that the Israeli Air Force had hit over 200 destinations in the past 72 hours, including terrorist cells, weapon depots, rocket launchpads, snipers and other structures used for terrorist activities.
The army said that troops had killed a number of terrorists that had not been described in more detail during the ground operations near the southern city of Rafah.
In addition, the IDF said that the latest land operations in northern Gaza Strip, from which it identified terrorist activities, as well as several sniper posts, which represented a threat to Israeli troops in the region, had reduced terroristist activities.
The fights in the strip were resumed in mid -March after the collapse of a two -month ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, in which 33 hostages were released.
The army had been wounded in the renewed offensive until Saturday, when the IDF announced that an Israeli soldier was killed and five more, three of them were seriously wounded in a Hamas attack in the north of Gaza.
The murdered soldier was called Warrant Officer G’aleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, a tracker in the northern brigade of the Gaza Division from Rahat.

According to the Hamas-led Gaza Ministry of Health, around 1,600 deaths have been reported since the end of the ceasefire due to IDF measures, including 43 people who were killed on Friday, according to Reuters.
The Ministry claims that over 50,000 Gazans were killed in the war, although his toll cannot be checked and do not distinguish between civilians and fighters. Israel estimated in January that it had killed around 20,000 fighters in Gaza.
According to reports, the discussions for a new armistice on the demands of Israel were that Hamas 11 was released in exchange for a longer ceasefire, while Hamas offered to publish five.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gives a recorded explanation of April 19, 2025 (office/screenshot of the Prime Minister)
On Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a predicted explanation that Israel would not end the war in Gaza until the Hamas had been completely dismantled, which dampened hopes for a ceasefire.
He accused the terrorist group of rejecting a proposal for the return of half of the remaining living hostages and many of the hostages killed in Gaza Strip, and said that Israel could not agree to Hamas’ demands and to withdraw from Gaza militarily.
“If we now surrender to the Hamas dictations, all the great achievements of the war that we have achieved with the earnings of our soldiers and our fallen and our hero injuries, all of these successes will disappear,” said Netanyahu.
