Alejandra Silva celebrates her 40th birthday by sharing her love for her family. On February 17, the 40-year-old political activist posted an Instagram photo of herself at the beach with her two children, which she shares with husband Richard Gere. “Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes,” she wrote in the caption. “After almost 3 weeks in which everyone in our family was sick, I’m finally feeling much better today! Thanks for all the love ❤️ I give you everything back!”
Silva and Gere got married in 2018, according to Us Weekly. Their marriage drew some attention due to their age difference, as the ‘Pretty Woman’ star was 72 and Silva was 38 at the time. Silva is an activist who runs the Rais Fundacion, which works to end homelessness in Spain. In addition to her two children with Gere, Silva has a son named Albert from her previous marriage to Govind Friedland. Gere has since been married twice – first to Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995 and then to Carey Lowell from 2002 to 2016.
